Sentencing Joshua Simon Ashby, in the Wellington court, a judge ruled that a newspaper cameraman could photograph the defendant and ordered him to stop hiding his face behind a sheet of paper. The judge said Ashby posted the photo on the woman's Facebook page in an "irresponsible drunken jealous rage" after their five-month relationship broke up. It was available to all million active users of the network for 12 hours before police and Facebook authorities removed it. Ashby pleaded guilty to a charge of distributing indecent matter and six other charges of threatening to kill, wilful damage, stealing the woman's clothes and assault. TORONTO — A Chinese man says he watched in fear through a webcam as his ex-girlfriend struggled with an intruder in her apartment — the terrifying scene ending with two muffled bangs, heavy breathing and a naked man turning off the computer. The night before York University student Qian Liu, 23, was found dead in her off-campus basement apartment, mostly naked and face down on the floor, she was chatting with her ex-boyfriend, Xian Meng. Meng and Liu started dating as young teenagers in China, but broke up in early , a few months after she moved to Canada to study, Meng testified Friday in court. At one point Liu answered a knock at her door, retrieved her cellphone and handed it to the man standing in her door frame, Meng said. They were talking in English and he was pressing buttons on her phone, Meng said. All of a sudden the man tried to force his way inside, he said. The man came inside and closed the door behind him, with Liu pushing his chest the whole time, Meng said. He could also hear sounds like furniture being moved around and like the jingling of keys. This is what I saw.
NUDE photos of hundreds of young Chinese women who were forced to hand over naked selfies for cash loans have been leaked online. The horrific practice is being done through Jiedaibao, a peer-to-peer lending platform where people can broker their own deals - but it is not known who leaked the pictures. In June it emerged that the young girls are asked to send a naked selfie with their ID card in order to borrow thousands of yuan with high interest rates. The dodgy loan sharks then threaten to contact their parents and post the picture online, to make sure that the money will be repaid. According to the newspaper Legal Daily, some lenders sell the nude pictures for 30 yuan at a time, even after they receive all their money.
